Serve & Connect, along with our partners, will host a special Greg’s Groceries Packing Day on Oct. 6, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Forest Acres Walmart. The theme for this packing day is “Beyond the Box.” In addition to packing boxes of non-perishable food for neighbors in need, Serve & Connect and our partners will provide attendees interested in learning more about resources related to mental health, Covid, domestic violence, housing, human trafficking, youth services, substance abuse and suicide prevention. All are invited to come out and experience what happens beyond the box!

At Serve & Connect, we believe that by working together we can achieve amazing things. We believe that by working together we can create a future where police and citizens are working together to address root causes of crime. With Greg’s Groceries™, we are able to create opportunities for positive, non-enforcement interactions between police officers and community members to enhance trust. The result of a Greg’s Groceries Packing Day goes well beyond just the boxes. Thank you to all who support this important event.

9:45-10 a.m. - Announcements and Welcome
10 a.m.-12 p.m. - Pack Boxes with Community Law Enforcements Partners
12-1 p.m. - Lunch and Awards
10 a.m.-1 p.m. - Resource Fair
This packing day will be significant as we are expecting over 50 departments to be packing 2,000 boxes. After all the boxes are packed, we will be providing lunch and will have an appreciation ceremony. We will have some impact stories shared by members of the communities who have received Greg's Groceries.
